⁹People bow down,
And each man humbles himself;
Therefore do not forgive them.

⁹So people will be brought low^(A)
and everyone humbled^(B)—
do not forgive them.^[a]^(C)

¹¹The ^[a]lofty looks of man shall be ^(A)humbled,
The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down,
And the Lord alone shall be exalted ^(B)in that day.

¹¹The eyes of the arrogant^(A) will be humbled^(B)
and human pride^(C) brought low;^(D)
the Lord alone will be exalted^(E) in that day.^(F)
