16 For this is what the Lord[a] is saying to me: “Within three years,[b] according to the years of a contract worker,[c] the pomp[d] of Kedar will come to an end. 17 And there will be few archers, those who are descendants of Kedar, who survive, because the Lord, the God of Israel, has spoken.”

16 This is what the Lord says to me: “Within one year, as a servant bound by contract(A) would count it, all the splendor(B) of Kedar(C) will come to an end. 17 The survivors of the archers, the warriors of Kedar, will be few.(D)” The Lord, the God of Israel, has spoken.(E)
