Isaiah 22:11-13
Christian Standard Bible
11 You made a reservoir between the walls(A) for the water of the ancient pool,(B) but you did not look to the one who made it, or consider the one who created it long ago.
12 On that day the Lord God of Armies
called for weeping,(C) for wailing, for shaven heads,
and for the wearing of sackcloth.
13 But look: joy and gladness,
butchering of cattle, slaughtering of sheep and goats,
eating of meat, and drinking of wine—
“Let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!” (D)

called you on that day(E)
to weep(F) and to wail,
to tear out your hair(G) and put on sackcloth.(H)
13 But see, there is joy and revelry,(I)
slaughtering of cattle and killing of sheep,
eating of meat and drinking of wine!(J)
“Let us eat and drink,” you say,
“for tomorrow we die!”(K)
