Isaiah 23:8-10
Holman Christian Standard Bible
8 Who planned this against Tyre,
the bestower of crowns,
whose traders are princes,
whose merchants are the honored ones of the earth?
9 The Lord of Hosts planned it,
to desecrate all its glorious beauty,
to disgrace all the honored ones of the earth.
10 Overflow[a] your land like the Nile, daughter of Tarshish;
there is no longer anything to restrain you.[b]

8 Who planned this against Tyre,
the bestower of crowns,
whose merchants(A) are princes,
whose traders(B) are renowned in the earth?

to bring down(D) her pride in all her splendor
and to humble(E) all who are renowned(F) on the earth.
10 Till[a] your land as they do along the Nile,
Daughter Tarshish,
for you no longer have a harbor.
