Isaiah 24:11-13
New English Translation
11 They howl in the streets because of what happened to the wine;[a]
all joy turns to sorrow;[b]
celebrations disappear from the earth.[c]
12 The city is left in ruins;[d]
the gate is reduced to rubble.[e]
13 This is what will happen throughout[f] the earth,
among the nations.
It will be like when they beat an olive tree,
and just a few olives are left at the end of the harvest.[g]

New International Version
11 In the streets they cry out(A) for wine;(B)
all joy turns to gloom,(C)
all joyful sounds are banished from the earth.
12 The city is left in ruins,(D)
its gate(E) is battered to pieces.
13 So will it be on the earth
and among the nations,
as when an olive tree is beaten,(F)
or as when gleanings are left after the grape harvest.(G)
