⁶ Therefore, a ^(A)curse devours the earth, and those who live in it are held guilty. Therefore, the ^(B)inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left.

⁹ Then the Lord stretched out His hand and ^(A)touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me,

²⁹ “Is not My word like ^(A)fire?” declares the Lord, “and like a ^(B)hammer which shatters a rock?

⁶ But did not My words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, ^(A)overtake your fathers? Then they repented and said, ‘^(B)As the Lord of hosts purposed to do to us in accordance with our ways and our deeds, so He has dealt with us.’”’”
