Isaiah 27:4-6

New American Standard Bible

⁴I have no wrath.
Should ^[a]someone give Me ^(A)briars and thorns in battle,
Then I would step on them, ^(B)I would burn them ^[b]completely.
⁵Or let him ^[c]^(C)rely on My protection,
Let him make peace with Me,
Let him ^(D)make peace with Me.”
⁶^[d]In the days to come Jacob ^(E)will take root,
Israel will ^(F)blossom and sprout,
And they will fill the ^[e]whole world with ^(G)fruit.

⁴    I am not angry.
If only there were briers and thorns confronting me!
    I would march against them in battle;
    I would set them all on fire.^(A)
⁵Or else let them come to me for refuge;^(B)
    let them make peace^(C) with me,
