Isaiah 27:5-7
Contemporary English Version
5 Yet if the vineyard depends
on me for protection,
it will become my friend
and be at peace with me.
6 Someday Israel will take root
like a vine.
It will blossom and bear fruit
that covers the earth.
7 I, the Lord, didn't punish and kill
the people of Israel
as fiercely as I punished
and killed their enemies.
Isaiah 27:5-7
New International Version
5 Or else let them come to me for refuge;(A)
let them make peace(B) with me,
yes, let them make peace with me.”
6 In days to come Jacob will take root,(C)
Israel will bud and blossom(D)
and fill all the world with fruit.(E)
7 Has the Lord struck her
as he struck(F) down those who struck her?
Has she been killed
as those were killed who killed her?
