Isaiah 28:2-4
New King James Version
2 Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one,
(A)Like a tempest of hail and a destroying storm,
Like a flood of mighty waters overflowing,
Who will bring them down to the earth with His hand.
3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim,
Will be trampled underfoot;
4 And the glorious beauty is a fading flower
Which is at the head of the [a]verdant valley,
Like the first fruit before the summer,
Which an observer sees;
He eats it up while it is still in his hand.

Isaiah 28:2-4
New International Version
2 See, the Lord has one who is powerful(A) and strong.
Like a hailstorm(B) and a destructive wind,(C)
like a driving rain and a flooding(D) downpour,
he will throw it forcefully to the ground.
3 That wreath, the pride of Ephraim’s(E) drunkards,
will be trampled(F) underfoot.
4 That fading flower, his glorious beauty,
set on the head of a fertile valley,(G)
will be like figs(H) ripe before harvest—
as soon as people see them and take them in hand,
they swallow them.
