21 For the Lord will rise up as at Mount (A)Perazim,
He will be stirred up as in the Valley of (B)Gibeon,
To do His (C)task, His [a](D)unusual task,
And to work His work, His [b]extraordinary work.
22 And now do not carry on as (E)scoffers,
Or your shackles will be made stronger;
For I have heard from the Lord [c]God of armies
Of decisive (F)destruction on all the earth.
23 Listen and hear my voice,
Pay attention and hear my words.

21 The Lord will rise up as he did at Mount Perazim,(A)
he will rouse himself as in the Valley of Gibeon(B)—
to do his work,(C) his strange work,
and perform his task, his alien task.
22 Now stop your mocking,(D)
or your chains will become heavier;
the Lord, the Lord Almighty, has told me
of the destruction decreed(E) against the whole land.(F)
23 Listen(G) and hear my voice;
pay attention and hear what I say.
