12 O My people! Children make it hard for them. And women rule over them. O My people! Your leaders lead you in the wrong way. You do not know which path to take.

12 Youths(A) oppress my people,
    women rule over them.
My people, your guides lead you astray;(B)
    they turn you from the path.

13 The Lord takes his place in court;(C)
    he rises to judge(D) the people.
14 The Lord enters into judgment(E)
    against the elders and leaders of his people:
“It is you who have ruined my vineyard;
    the plunder(F) from the poor(G) is in your houses.
