¹⁸ In that day^(A) the Lord will snatch away their finery: the bangles and headbands and crescent necklaces,^{(B) 19} the earrings and bracelets^(C) and veils,^{(D) 20} the headdresses^(E) and anklets and sashes, the perfume bottles and charms, ²¹ the signet rings and nose rings,^{(F) 22} the fine robes and the capes and cloaks,^(G) the purses ²³ and mirrors, and the linen garments^(H) and tiaras^(I) and shawls.

⁹ I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes,^(A)
