Isaiah 30:6-11
New American Standard Bible 1995
6 The [a]oracle concerning the (A)beasts of the (B)Negev.
Through a land of (C)distress and anguish,
From [b]where come lioness and lion, viper and (D)flying serpent,
They (E)carry their riches on the [c]backs of young donkeys
And their treasures on (F)camels’ humps,
To a people who cannot profit them;
7 Even Egypt, whose (G)help is vain and empty.
Therefore, I have called [d]her
“[e](H)Rahab who has been exterminated.”
8 Now go, (I)write it on a tablet before them
And inscribe it on a scroll,
That it may [f]serve in the time to come
[g]As a witness forever.
9 For this is a (J)rebellious people, (K)false sons,
Sons who [h]refuse to (L)listen
To the [i]instruction of the Lord;
10 Who say to the (M)seers, “You must not see visions”;
And to the prophets, “You must not (N)prophesy to us what is right,
(O)Speak to us [j]pleasant words,
Prophesy illusions.
11 “Get out of the way, (P)turn aside from the path,
[k](Q)Let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel.”
