Like birds hovering overhead,
    so the Lord of the Heavenly Armies will protect Jerusalem;
he will shield and deliver it;
    and[a] he will pass over[b] and bring it to safety.[c]

Turn back to him, yes to him whom[d] your people[e] have so greatly betrayed, you people of Israel. For at that time,[f] everyone will throw away their[g] idols of silver and their[h] idols of gold that your hands have sinfully made for yourselves.

Return,(E) you Israelites, to the One you have so greatly revolted(F) against. For in that day(G) every one of you will reject the idols of silver and gold(H) your sinful hands have made.(I)
