8 But the noble deviseth noble things; and [a]in noble things shall he continue.

9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease, and hear my voice; ye [b]careless daughters, give ear unto my speech. 10 [c]For days beyond a year shall ye be troubled, ye careless women; for the vintage shall fail, the ingathering shall not come.

9 You women(C) who are so complacent,
    rise up and listen(D) to me;
you daughters who feel secure,(E)
    hear what I have to say!
10 In little more than a year(F)
    you who feel secure will tremble;
the grape harvest will fail,(G)
    and the harvest of fruit will not come.
