¹⁶He shall dwell on high, the fortifications of rocks shall be his highness: bread is given him, his waters are sure.

¹⁷His eyes shall see the king in his beauty, they shall see the land far off.

¹⁸Thy heart shall meditate fear: where is the learned? where is he that pondereth the words of the law? where is the teacher of little ones?

¹⁶they are the ones who will dwell on the heights,^(A)
whose refuge^(B) will be the mountain fortress.^(C)
Their bread will be supplied,
and water will not fail^(D) them.

¹⁷Your eyes will see the king^(E) in his beauty^(F)
    and view a land that stretches afar.^(G)
¹⁸In your thoughts you will ponder the former terror:^(H)
    “Where is that chief officer?
Where is the one who took the revenue?
    Where is the officer in charge of the towers?^(I)”
