Isaiah 33:9-11
New Catholic Bible

9 The land languishes in mourning;
    Lebanon withers in its shame.
Sharon has become a desert;
    Bashan and Carmel are stripped bare.[a]
10 Now I will rise up, says the Lord.
    Now I will be exalted,
    now I will be lifted up.
11 You conceive chaff and give birth to stubble;
    like fire my Spirit will devour you.

9 The land dries up(A) and wastes away,
    Lebanon(B) is ashamed and withers;(C)
Sharon(D) is like the Arabah,
    and Bashan(E) and Carmel(F) drop their leaves.

10 “Now will I arise,(G)” says the Lord.
    “Now will I be exalted;(H)
    now will I be lifted up.
11 You conceive(I) chaff,
    you give birth(J) to straw;
    your breath is a fire(K) that consumes you.
