Isaiah 34:4-6
Holman Christian Standard Bible
4 All[a] the heavenly bodies(A) will dissolve.
The skies will roll up like a scroll,(B)
and their stars will all wither
as leaves wither on the vine,
and foliage on the fig tree.(C)
The Judgment of Edom
5 When My sword has drunk its fill[b](D) in the heavens,
it will then come down on Edom(E)
and on the people I have set apart for destruction.
6 The Lord’s sword is covered with blood.
It drips with fat,
with the blood of lambs and goats,
with the fat of the kidneys of rams.(F)
For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah,(G)
a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

and the heavens rolled up(B) like a scroll;
all the starry host will fall(C)
like withered(D) leaves from the vine,
like shriveled figs from the fig tree.
5 My sword(E) has drunk its fill in the heavens;
see, it descends in judgment on Edom,(F)
the people I have totally destroyed.(G)
6 The sword(H) of the Lord is bathed in blood,
it is covered with fat—
the blood of lambs and goats,
fat from the kidneys of rams.
