37 So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and left. He returned home and lived in Nineveh.(A)
38 One day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god Nisroch, his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer struck him down with the sword and escaped to the land of Ararat.(B) Then his son Esar-haddon(C) became king in his place.

New International Version
37 So Sennacherib(A) king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh(B) and stayed there.
38 One day, while he was worshiping in the temple(C) of his god Nisrok, his sons Adrammelek and Sharezer killed him with the sword, and they escaped to the land of Ararat.(D) And Esarhaddon(E) his son succeeded him as king.(F)
