² And Hezekiah welcomed them gladly. And he showed them his treasure house, ^(A)the silver, the gold, the spices, the precious oil, his whole armoury, all that was found in his storehouses. ^(B)There was nothing in his house or in all his realm that Hezekiah did not show them.

In that day you looked to ^(B)the weapons of the House of the Forest,

^11 (A)You made a reservoir between ^(B)the two walls for the water of ^(C)the old pool. But ^(D)you did not look to him who did it, or see him who planned it long ago.

¹⁷ And he ^(A)shall not acquire many wives for himself, lest his heart turn away, ^(B)nor shall he acquire for himself excessive silver and gold.
