3 It will be that he who (A)remains in Zion and is left in Jerusalem will be called (B)holy—everyone who is (C)written down for life in Jerusalem. 4 When the Lord has washed away the filth of the (D)daughters of Zion and rinsed away the (E)bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the (F)spirit of judgment and the (G)spirit of burning, 5 then Yahweh will create over the whole area of Mount Zion and over her convocation (H)a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the (I)glory will be a canopy.

3 Those who are left in Zion,(A) who remain(B) in Jerusalem, will be called holy,(C) all who are recorded(D) among the living in Jerusalem. 4 The Lord will wash away the filth(E) of the women of Zion;(F) he will cleanse(G) the bloodstains(H) from Jerusalem by a spirit[a] of judgment(I) and a spirit[b] of fire.(J) 5 Then the Lord will create(K) over all of Mount Zion(L) and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night;(M) over everything the glory[c](N) will be a canopy.(O)
