40 “(A)Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God.
2 “(B)Speak [a]kindly to Jerusalem;
And call out to her, that her [b](C)warfare has ended,
That her [c](D)guilt has been removed,
That she has received of the Lord’s hand
(E)Double for all her sins.”

When I swore that the waters of Noah

So I have sworn that I will (B)not be angry with you
Nor rebuke you.
10 For the (C)mountains may be removed and the hills may shake,
But My [c]favor will not be removed from you,
Nor will My (D)covenant of peace be shaken,”
Says (E)the Lord who has compassion on you.
