18 I will open (A)rivers on the bare heights,
And springs in the midst of the valleys;
I will make (B)the wilderness a pool of water,
And the dry land fountains of water.
19 I will put the cedar in the wilderness,
The acacia, the (C)myrtle, and the olive tree;
I will place the (D)juniper in the desert,
Together with the elm tree and the cypress,
20 So that (E)they may see and recognize,
And consider and gain insight as well,
That the (F)hand of the Lord has done this,
And the Holy One of Israel has created it.

and springs within the valleys.
I will turn the desert(B) into pools of water,(C)
and the parched ground into springs.(D)
19 I will put in the desert(E)
the cedar and the acacia,(F) the myrtle and the olive.
I will set junipers(G) in the wasteland,
the fir and the cypress(H) together,(I)
20 so that people may see and know,(J)
may consider and understand,(K)
that the hand(L) of the Lord has done this,
that the Holy One(M) of Israel has created(N) it.
