Isaiah 41:7-9
New American Standard Bible
7 So the (A)craftsman encourages the (B)smelter,
And he who smooths metal with the hammer encourages him who beats the anvil,
Saying of the soldering, “It is good”;
And he fastens it with nails,
(C)So that it will not totter.
8 “But you, Israel, (D)My servant,
Jacob whom I have chosen,
Descendant of (E)Abraham My (F)friend,
9 You whom I have [a](G)taken from the ends of the earth
And called from its (H)remotest parts,
And said to you, ‘You are (I)My servant,
I have (J)chosen you and have not rejected you.

8 But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
9 Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.
