Isaiah 44:28-45:1
New American Standard Bible
28 It is I who says of (A)Cyrus, ‘He is My shepherd,
And he will carry out all My desire.’
And [a]he says of Jerusalem, ‘(B)She will be built,’
And of the temple, ‘[b]Your foundation will be laid.’”
God Uses Cyrus
45 This is what the Lord says to (C)Cyrus His anointed,
Whom I have taken by the right (D)hand,
To (E)subdue nations before him
And [c]to (F)undo the weapons belt on the waist of kings;
To open doors before him so that gates will not be shut:

12 It is I who (A)made the earth, and created mankind upon it.
I (B)stretched out the heavens with My hands,
And I [a]ordained (C)all their [b]lights.
13 I have stirred him in (D)righteousness,
And I will (E)make all his ways smooth.
He will (F)build My city and let My exiles go (G)free,
Without any payment or reward,” says the Lord of armies.
