New American Standard Bible

8 Do not tremble and do not be afraid;
(A)Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it?
And (B)you are My witnesses.
Is there any God (C)besides Me,
Or is there any other (D)Rock?
I know of none.’”

9 Those who fashion an idol are all futile, and their treasured things are of no benefit; even their own witnesses fail to see or know, so that they will be (E)put to shame. 10 Who has fashioned a god or cast an idol to (F)no benefit?

New International Version

8 Do not tremble, do not be afraid.
    Did I not proclaim(A) this and foretell it long ago?
You are my witnesses. Is there any God(B) besides me?
    No, there is no other Rock;(C) I know not one.”

9 All who make idols(D) are nothing,
    and the things they treasure are worthless.(E)
Those who would speak up for them are blind;(F)
    they are ignorant, to their own shame.(G)
10 Who shapes a god and casts an idol,(H)
    which can profit nothing?(I)
