It shall not be pruned or ^[a]dug,
But there shall come up briers and ^(B)thorns.
I will also command the clouds
That they rain no rain on it.”

And in the waste places of ^(A)the ^[a]fat ones strangers shall eat.

^14 (A)Because the palaces will be forsaken,
The bustling city will be deserted.
The forts and towers will become lairs forever,
A joy of wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks—
