¹⁶ I have ^(A)put My words in your mouth and have ^(B)covered you with the shadow of My hand, to ^[a](C)establish the heavens, to found the earth, and to say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’”

²³ But this is ^[a]what I commanded them, saying, ‘^(A)Obey My voice, and ^(B)I will be your God, and you will be My people; and you will walk in all the way which I command you, that it may ^(C)be well with you.’

³³ “But ^(A)this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “^(B)I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and ^(C)I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

³⁸ They shall be ^(A)My people, and I will be their God;

¹¹ in order that the house of Israel may no longer ^(A)stray from Me and no longer ^(B)defile themselves with all their transgressions. Thus they will be ^(C)My people, and I shall be their God,”’ declares the Lord God.”

⁸ and I will ^(A)bring them back and they will ^(B)live in the midst of Jerusalem; and they shall be ^(C)My people, and I will be their God in ^[a]truth and righteousness.’
