⁸ Therefore bear fruits in keeping with repentance, and ^(A)do not begin to say ^[a]to yourselves, ‘^(B)We have Abraham for our father,’ for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham.

⁵ But He gave him no inheritance in it, not even a foot of ground, and yet, even when he had no child, ^(A)He promised that He would give it to him as a possession, and to his descendants after him.

¹² and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also follow in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham which ^[a]he had while uncircumcised.
