⁹ He said, “Go, and tell this people:

¹¹ Then I said, “Lord, ^(E)how long?” And He answered,

Israel Is God’s Witness

¹³ Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while ^(A)seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. ^14 [a]In their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,

¹² so that ^(A)while seeing, they may see and not perceive, and while hearing, they may hear and not understand, otherwise they might return and be forgiven.”

^18 (A)Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember,

¹⁰ And He said, “^(A)To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is in parables, so that ^(B)seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.

³⁹ And Jesus said, “^(A)For judgment I came into this world, so that ^(B)those who do not see may see, and that ^(C)those who see may become blind.” ⁴⁰ Those of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things and said to Him, “^(D)We are not blind too, are we?” ⁴¹ Jesus said to them, “^(E)If you were blind, you would have no sin; but ^[a]since you say, ‘^(F)We see,’ your sin remains.

⁴⁰ “^(A)He has blinded their eyes and He ^(B)hardened their heart, so that they would not see with their eyes and perceive with their heart, and ^[a]be converted and I heal them.”
