Isaiah 60:16-18
The Voice
16 You will be enriched by the world and its kings,
and you will know for certain that I am the Eternal,
Your Liberator, your Redeemer, the Strong One of Jacob.
17 I will bring you gold instead of bronze, silver instead of iron,
bronze instead of wood, iron instead of stone.
Your government will be founded and grounded;
I will make peace your governor, and righteousness your ruler.
18 You’ll never hear again, “Help! Call the guards!”
Violence, destruction, and ruin will be things of the past in Jerusalem.
You will name the city walls Salvation, and the city gates Praise.

16 You will drink the milk of nations
and be nursed(A) at royal breasts.
Then you will know(B) that I, the Lord, am your Savior,(C)
your Redeemer,(D) the Mighty One of Jacob.(E)
17 Instead of bronze I will bring you gold,(F)
and silver in place of iron.
Instead of wood I will bring you bronze,
and iron in place of stones.
I will make peace(G) your governor
and well-being your ruler.(H)
18 No longer will violence(I) be heard in your land,
nor ruin or destruction(J) within your borders,
but you will call your walls Salvation(K)
and your gates Praise.(L)
