3 Then Yahweh said to Isaiah, “Go out to meet Ahaz, you and Shear-Jashub your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool on the highway of the washer’s field. 4 And you must say to him, ‘Take heed and be quiet! You must not fear, and your heart must not be faint because of these two stumps of smoldering firebrands, because of the fierce anger of[a] Rezin and Aram and the son of Remaliah. 5 Because Aram has plotted evil against you with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, saying,

3 Then the Lord said to Isaiah, “Go out, you and your son Shear-Jashub,[a](A) to meet Ahaz at the end of the aqueduct of the Upper Pool, on the road to the Launderer’s Field.(B) 4 Say to him, ‘Be careful, keep calm(C) and don’t be afraid.(D) Do not lose heart(E) because of these two smoldering stubs(F) of firewood—because of the fierce anger(G) of Rezin and Aram and of the son of Remaliah.(H) 5 Aram, Ephraim and Remaliah’s(I) son have plotted(J) your ruin, saying,
