Isaiah 8:13-15

13 But the Lord of hosts, (A)him you shall honour as holy. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. 14 And he will become a (B)sanctuary and (C)a stone of offence and a rock of stumbling to both houses of Israel, a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 15 And many (D)shall stumble on it. They shall fall and be broken; they shall be snared and taken.”

New International Version
13 The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy,(A)
he is the one you are to fear,(B)
he is the one you are to dread.(C)
14 He will be a holy place;(D)
for both Israel and Judah he will be
a stone(E) that causes people to stumble(F)
and a rock that makes them fall.(G)
And for the people of Jerusalem he will be
a trap and a snare.(H)
15 Many of them will stumble;(I)
they will fall and be broken,
they will be snared and captured.”
