13 As it is written in the (A)law of Moses, all this calamity has come on us; yet we have (B)not [a]sought the favor of the Lord our God by (C)turning from our iniquity and [b]giving attention to Your truth.

“(A)Seek Me (B)that you may live.
5 “But do not [a]resort to (C)Bethel
And do not come to (D)Gilgal,
Nor cross over to (E)Beersheba;
For Gilgal will certainly go into captivity
And Bethel will [b]come to trouble.
6 “(F)Seek the Lord that you may live,
Or He will break forth like a (G)fire, [c]O house of Joseph,
And it will consume with none to quench it for Bethel,
7 For those who turn (H)justice into wormwood
And [d]cast righteousness down to the earth.”
8 He who made the (I)Pleiades and Orion
And (J)changes deep darkness into morning,
[e]Who also (K)darkens day into night,
Who (L)calls for the waters of the sea
And pours them out on the surface of the earth,
The (M)Lord is His name.
