²¹ “‘This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Go ahead, add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices^(A) and eat^(B) the meat yourselves!

¹⁶ I will scatter them among nations^(A) that neither they nor their ancestors have known,^(B) and I will pursue them with the sword^(C) until I have made an end of them.”^(D)

¹¹ Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘I will bring on them a disaster^(A) they cannot escape.^(B) Although they cry^(C) out to me, I will not listen^(D) to them.

⁹ Whoever stays in this city will die by the sword, famine or plague.^(A) But whoever goes out and surrenders^(B) to the Babylonians who are besieging you will live; they will escape with their lives.^(C)
