¹⁷ And the Light of Israel will become a fire and ^[a]Israel’s Holy One a flame,
And it will burn and devour ^[b]his thorns and his briars in a single day.

⁹ I will not carry out My fierce anger;
I will not destroy Ephraim again.
For I am God and not a man, the Holy One in your midst,
And I will not come in ^[a]wrath.

¹² Are You not from time everlasting,
Lord, my God, my Holy One?
We will not die.
You, Lord, have appointed them to deliver judgment;
And You, O Rock, have destined them to punish.

³ God comes from Teman,
And the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah
His splendor covers the heavens,
And the earth is full of His praise.
