⁵ They are coming from a distant country,
From the ^[a](A)farthest horizons,
The Lord and the weapons of His ^(B)indignation,
To ^(C)destroy the whole land.

³⁰ And the Lord will cause ^[a]His voice of authority to be heard,
And the ^[b]descending of His arm to be seen in fierce anger,
And in the flame of a consuming fire
In cloudburst, downpour, and hailstones.

² For the Lord’s ^(A)anger is against all the nations,
And His wrath against all their armies.
He has ^[a](B)utterly destroyed them,
He has turned them over to ^(C)slaughter.

¹⁴ Then you will ^(A)see this, and your ^(B)heart will be glad,
And your ^(C)bones will flourish like the new grass;
And the ^(D)hand of the Lord will be made known to His servants,
But He will be ^(E)indignant toward His enemies.
