Israel’s Return

14 For the Lord will have compassion(A) on Jacob and will choose Israel again.(B) He will settle them on their own land.(C) The foreigner will join them and be united with the house of Jacob.(D) The nations will escort Israel and bring it to its homeland. Then the house of Israel will possess them as male and female slaves in the Lord’s land.(E) They will make captives of their captors and will rule over their oppressors.

Announcement of Restoration

11 In that day
I will restore the fallen booth(A) of David:(B)
I will repair its gaps,
restore its ruins,(C)
and rebuild it as in the days of old,(D)
12 so that they may possess
the remnant of Edom(E)
and all the nations
that are called by My name[a](F)
this is the Lord’s declaration—

He will do this.

13 Hear this! The days are coming—
this is the Lord’s declaration—
when the plowman will overtake the reaper(G)
and the one who treads grapes,
the sower of seed.
The mountains will drip with sweet wine,
and all the hills will flow with it.(H)
14 I will restore the fortunes of My people Israel.[b](I)
They will rebuild and occupy ruined cities,(J)
plant vineyards and drink their wine,
make gardens and eat their produce.(K)
15 I will plant them on their land,
and they will never again be uprooted
from the land I have given them.(L)
Yahweh your God has spoken.
