¹³ You said in your heart,
    ^(A)‘I will ascend to heaven;
above the stars of God
    ^(B)I will set my throne on high;
I will sit on the mount of assembly
    in the far reaches of the north;^[a]
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
    I will make myself like the Most High.’

^3 (A)The pride of your heart has deceived you,
    you who live in the clefts of the rock,^[a]
    in your lofty dwelling,
^(B)who say in your heart,
    “Who will bring me down to the ground?”
⁴ Though you soar aloft like the eagle,
    though your nest is set among the stars,
    from there I will bring you down,
declares the Lord.
