²² The assembled people began to shout, “It’s the voice of a god and not of a man!” ²³ At once an angel of the Lord^(A) struck him because he did not give the glory to God, and he became infected with worms and died.^(B)

⁴ He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god^(A) or object of worship,^(B) so that he sits^[a] in God’s sanctuary,^[b] publicizing that he himself is God.
