^5 (A)For the Lord ^[a]God of armies has a ^(B)day of panic, ^(C)subjugation, and confusion
^(D)In the valley of vision,
A breaking down of walls
And a crying ^[b]to the mountain.

² For the Lord’s ^(A)anger is against all the nations,
And His wrath against all their armies.
He has ^[a](B)utterly destroyed them,
He has turned them over to ^(C)slaughter.

¹² I will destine you for the ^(A)sword,
And all of you will bow down to the ^(B)slaughter.
Because I called, but you ^(C)did not answer;
I spoke, but you did not listen.
Instead, you did evil in My sight
And chose that in which I did not delight.”
