²⁷ Behold, ^(A)the name of the Lord comes from a ^[a]remote place;
^(B)His anger is burning and ^[b]dense with ^[c]smoke;
His lips are filled with ^(C)indignation,
And His tongue is like a ^(D)consuming fire;

³³ For ^[a](A)Topheth has long been ready,
Indeed, it has been prepared for the king.
He has made it deep and large,
^[b]A pyre of fire with plenty of wood;
The ^(B)breath of the Lord, like a torrent of ^(C)brimstone, sets it afire.

“^(B)Administer justice ^[a]every ^(C)morning;
And save the person who has been robbed from the ^[b]power of his oppressor,
^(D)So that My wrath will not spread like fire
And ^(E)burn, with no one to extinguish it,
Because of the evil of their deeds.

² Before the decree ^[a]takes effect—
The day passes ^(A)like chaff—
Before the ^(B)burning anger of the Lord comes upon you,
Before the ^(C)day of the Lord’s anger comes upon you.
