⁶ “I, Yahweh, have called You
for a righteous purpose,^[a](A)
and I will hold You by Your hand.^(B)
I will keep You and appoint You
to be a covenant for the people^(C)
and a light to the nations,^(D)

⁶ He says,
“It is not enough for you to be My Servant
raising up the tribes of Jacob
and restoring the protected ones of Israel.
I will also make you a light for the nations,^(A)
to be My salvation to the ends of the earth.”^(B)

³ Nations will come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your radiance.^(A)

⁵ Then you will see and be radiant,^(A)
and your heart will tremble and rejoice,^[a]
because the riches of the sea will become yours
and the wealth of the nations will come to you.^(B)
