²⁵ For this reason the ^(A)anger of the Lord has burned against His people,
And He has stretched out His hand against them and struck them.
And the ^(B)mountains quaked, and their ^(C)corpses ^[a]lay like refuse in the middle of the streets.
^(D)Despite all this, His anger ^[b]is not spent,
But His ^(E)hand is still stretched out.

²⁴ The ^(A)fierce anger of the Lord will not turn back
Until He has performed and accomplished
The intent of His heart.
In the ^(B)latter days you will understand this.
