²³ I will appoint over them a single shepherd, My servant David, and he will shepherd them. He will tend them himself and will be their shepherd.^{(A) 24} I, Yahweh, will be their God, and My servant David^(B) will be a prince among them. I, Yahweh, have spoken.

²⁴ My servant David will be king over them, and there will be one shepherd for all of them.^(A) They will follow My ordinances, and keep My statutes and obey them.^(B)

²⁵ “They will live in the land that I gave to My servant Jacob,^(C) where your fathers lived. They will live in it forever with their children and grandchildren, and My servant David will be their prince forever.^(D)

⁵ Afterward, the people of Israel will return^(A) and seek the Lord their God and David their king.^(B) They will come with awe to the Lord^(C) and to His goodness in the last days.

²³ “From this man’s descendants, according to the promise, God brought the Savior, Jesus,^[a] to Israel.^(A)

³⁴ Since He raised Him from the dead, never to return to decay, He has spoken in this way, I will grant you the faithful covenant blessings^[a] made to David.^(A)[b]
