¹⁶ For I will ^(A)not contend forever,
^(B)Nor will I always be angry;
For the spirit would grow faint before Me,
And the ^(C)breath of those whom I have made.

¹⁸ Who is a God like You, who ^(A)pardons wrongdoing
And passes over a rebellious act of the ^(B)remnant of His ^[a]possession?
He does not ^(C)retain His anger forever,
Because He ^(D)delights in mercy.
