⁶ His dominion is vast
    and forever peaceful,
Upon David’s throne, and over his kingdom,
    which he confirms and sustains
By judgment and justice,
    both now and forever.^(A)
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this!

¹⁵ For thus said the Lord God,
    the Holy One of Israel:
By waiting and by calm you shall be saved,
    in quiet and in trust shall be your strength.
    But this you did not will.^(A)

¹⁵ Whoever walks righteously and speaks honestly,
    who spurns what is gained by oppression,
Who waves off contact with a bribe,
    who stops his ears so as not to hear of bloodshed,
    who closes his eyes so as not to look on evil—^(A)
16 That one shall dwell on the heights,
    with fortresses of rock for stronghold,
    food and drink in steady supply.

² O God, give your judgment to the king;
    your justice to the king’s son;^[a](A)
That he may govern your people with justice,
    your oppressed with right judgment,^(B)
3 That the mountains may yield their bounty for the people,
    and the hills great abundance,^(C)

⁷ That abundance may flourish in his days,
    great bounty, till the moon be no more.
