6 But you dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and themselves drag you into courts? 7 Do not they blaspheme the good name having been called[a] upon you? 8 If indeed[b] you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture [in Lev 19:18], “You shall love your neighbor as yourself ”, you are doing well[c].

6 But you have dishonored the poor.(A) Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court?(B) 7 Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?
8 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,”[a](C) you are doing right.
