James 4:14-16

14 What do you know about tomorrow? How can you be so sure about your life? It is nothing more than mist that appears for only a little while before it disappears. 15 You should say, “If the Lord lets us live, we will do these things.” 16 Yet you are stupid enough to brag, and it is wrong to be so proud.

14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.(A) 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will,(B) we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.(C)
