²⁴ You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

²⁶ For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also ^(A)faith without works is dead.

¹⁷ But if, while seeking to be justified in Christ, we ourselves have also been found ^(A)sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? ^[a](B)Far from it!

¹³ for it is ^(A)not the hearers ^[a]of the Law who are ^[b]righteous before God, but the doers ^[c]of the Law who will be justified. ¹⁴ For when Gentiles who do not have ^[d]the Law ^[e](B)instinctively perform the requirements of the Law, these, though not having ^[f]the Law, are a law to themselves,

¹⁹ “For that reason, King Agrippa, I did not prove disobedient to the heavenly vision, ²⁰ but continually proclaimed ^(A)to those in Damascus first, and ^(B)in Jerusalem, and then all the region of Judea, and even ^(C)to the Gentiles, that they are to ^(D)repent and turn to God, performing deeds ^(E)consistent with repentance.
